Hello all, I recently purchased an Adcom 555 along with preamp and Infinity Kappa 8 speakers. After inspecting them closely and auditioning them quite a bit (not to mention a lot of reading here) I took the plunge. When I got them home and set them up I noticed they sounded a little strange so I rechecked polarity which was ok. Eventually I started adjusting things and found that when I turn the balance knob to one side the speakers are silent. I have rechecked the connections and everything looks right.

Any suggestions?
