I currently own a Music Hall MMF 5.0 turntable that I bought new about 3 years ago. It is fitted with my trusty Shure V15 type three. When Shure stopped making the V15 I bought up 4 of their styluses direct from Shure so I have a nice supply. Now, the one thing I really miss is auto shutoff, and arm return so much so I'm willing to sell my Music Hall for a restored Dual 701 from fixmydual.com. What I want to know is will this be as big a downgrade as some people have lead me to believe? The way I see it the wow and flutter is probably better on the Dual due to the massive platter, and the lower mass tonearm is probably a better match for my V15, so where would I be going wrong? More audible rumble perhaps?
