Need advice on hooking up zone control

I apologize for getting on and straight away asking for advice, but, would really appreciate your input.

I have a bose surround system, an Onkyo receiver and just purchased a Niles ssvc -4 zone controller with volume. I am trying to get the system set up so that I can control the volume in three different areas of the house. Currently the Bose system runs into the receiver and thus has to be the set volume for everything. Music is blaring inside just to be able to hear it outside. I have to turn the speakers off inside. My problem is that I do not see how to hook the bose speakers into the zone controller. Right now the white premade "tape" wire runs into the multiple speaker outlets on the Onkyo receiver.

My goal is to be able to set the volume for my family room (where the Bose surround speakers are mounted), the living room and dining room together (simple ceiling mounted speaker - one each room), and outside (two simple outdoor speakers).

This is probably a "do it in your sleep" project for you all, but, it's got me stumped. Please help.

Generally speaking...

without knowing the exact model of reciever...

There should be a 'zone 2' selector button on the unit or remote of the Onkyo, and corresponding speaker connection terminals on the rear of the unit.  Connect the input of the Niles unit to these zone 2 terminals.  The Onyko should now allow for seperate volume level to the zone 2 input without affecting the zone 1 (Bose) volume.  Set that where you need and then control your seperate zones from the Niles.
