Hi All,

Brief background on my setup goals:

CURRENT STEREO SETUP:
KEF Q300 Pair
Marantz PM5004 Int Amp
Marantz CD5005 Disc Transport
Denon DP-45f turntable
room is 13' x 16', speakers are facing away from one of the 13' walls.

I've recently adjusted my music-listening interests from exclusively headphone to loudspeaker hifi as well. I acquired some components a while back but i have a few areas i specifically want to add functionality for: A more articulated and imaging loudspeaker, networked/hard drive hifi playing/streaming, as well as good pairing with my balanced headphone gear so have sights on looking at a network player down the line potentially as well as amplifier equipment supporting fully balanced setup.

Now to the meat:

recently heard the SVS Ultra bookshelf speakers. I want them...but I'm curious how they could fit into my setup and upgrade path.

1. I'm still getting used to determining proper pairing for amps/loudspeakers and from what i can tell...the PM5004 will be fine (ie...No under/over powering strain that would damage the svs). Am i correct on this?

2. I'm also of course aware that the pm5004 is sort of an entry point as a hi fi amplifier so aside from additional i/o I'm looking for, a more robust power output would be desirable for the SVS. Presuming my conclusion in question #1 is correct, is the PM5004 powered enough to get worthwhile depth at low levels from the SVS, or should i rly not bother concerning myself with the SVS until i upgrade the amp?

Thanks for the guidance,

and happy to join these forums!
