Currently have a pair of Klipsch RF-52 II but I'm upgrading to the Monitor Audio Silver 300s or the new KEF R5's soon, and a Marantz AV7703 pre/pro.
Was wondering what sort of amplification I should get for a 5.1 channel system. A 5 to 7 ch amp would work.
Amps I've been considering in the 1 to $2000 range:
Marantz MM7055
Emotiva XPA-5 (this isn't balanced though)
Parasound A52+ (a little out of my budget)
Monoprice Monolith 5 ch amp (I think this would honestly be too heavy for my TV stand)
Are there any other balanced multi-channel power amplifiers with XLR inputs that I'm missing? The Marantz seems like the obvious choice but I think I would really enjoy expanding my horizons out of the Marantz brand a bit and having another great Audiophile brand in my system as well.
