Hi Stereophile

This year I will be reviewing Stereo Receivers, and will give my reports here if it's ok.

The receivers will be both past and present, and as a twist they will not be the receivers with all the bells and whistles but instead the bare bone basic no-frills models.

As the hobby has been heading in a more affordable direction and the guilt has been or is being dropped from the audiophile mindset, it's good take a look again at the basics, and find those jewels that are popping up all over the place.

Whereas a couple of years ago the simple stereo receiver was all but gone, now by public demand and some smart designing the basic receiver is coming back with a bang, and this means that the audiophile is once again on the search of music. What was only a few years ago a fortune to get is now being done for as low as $99.00 as a starting point, and the speakers to suit have become simpler making the music come to life.

I'm sure in time this forum will include Receivers as a product, in the meantime I'm going to have fun with these musical beauties.
