Wow.
Sigh: Before I started at Stereophile, I went on a month-long Amtrak trip. Great time - living by the train schedule, getting on and off as I pleased. One morning, coming down the Mississippi, on our way from Chicago, the train got held up for a long stop at the Memphis station. For certain reasons, I had my heart set on getting down to New Orleans, but I was terribly tempted to just get off and explore Memphis. The train stayed long enough for me to watch the sun rise. The sky filled with orange and pink and purple swirls.

I regret not getting off. Oh well: Some other day, I'm sure.
