Also I have a pioneer pl-200 turntable, just got a new AT95e cartridge and there is a big improvement.
I'm not familiar with that particular receiver.
It has a monitor/tape in or out so I guess no, I can just connect it to the tape in but then the receiver will change the sound again so we did nothing with the preamp :/
what is it for the monitor input i have? i can connect a preamp there?

The tape out has a fixed level; the volume does not control it. You can't use those for that purpose.
