I know that Karan Acoustics like a producer of amplifiers still little bit unknown but here in Europe he is well known .
I have smallest one, integrated model with 180 W / 8 Ohm and my current speakers are Spendor A6r . Source is Auralic Vega together with Aries mini ...
My room is pretty big , about 50m2 or 500 square feet.
Everything sounds good but on night mode there is no bass enough .
I just wonder myself , is there a possibility to listen music in night mode and properly enjoy in bass extension and micro dynamics ?
My dealer has will to bring me Marten Django L for home demo but I have no experience at all with this company . I saw in yours magazine that you tested big brother of them , Django XL and your conclusions are quite positive .
Is younger brother as good as older ?
My expectations in sound are : big voluminous bass , silky high spectrum , and big , detailed and sweet mid spectrum ... I prefer to listen jazz .
Thanks in advance !
I have no idea what you mean by "night mode".
I would assume that it is some functional selection on your amplifier.
It seems likely that a "night mode" would filter out the low bass to avoid annoying neighbors or sleeping spouses.
How can you expect to filter out the bass by selecting "night mode' and still have it?
That makes no sense at all. If you want the full bass, do not select "night mode"!!
If you want good low bass in a room your size, you are not likely to get it with the Spendor. They are not designed to put out a lot of low bass.
The Django L may be somewhat better in that respect.
You will need a good subwoofer. I recommend the NHT B12D.
This is a situation after 22:00 hours when my wife and children already sleep and I have to listen music on low .volume level..
I suspect on Spendor and hope that Django L with two 8" bass unit will help .
As i said I have no experience with Marten at all because this company is not often choice here . My question is in that way if someone listened this loudspeakers in this so called " night mode "
night mode is phenomenal
the middle part of the spectrum is crystal clear , bass is deep and powerfull
soundstage is wide and high, very detailed in all parts of the audio spectrum
