Many TVs these days have no analog output, which is a pain. Some brands and models do have one, however.
Most Sony TVs have an analog out. I use mine to go straight to my preamp for TV listening/viewing, and run my CD player output and DVD sound output from the player direct to the preamp.
I think that Vizio and one or two other brands/models also have analog outputs (which may be indentified as a headphone output, but it works fine as a general-purpose analog output).
Anyway, I suggest that you get a Sony or other TV with analog output jack.
