Luke Manley was right when he recommended against using a power conditioner with VTL preamps. A buddy of mine bought the Shinyata Hydra 8 and he hooked up his DCS stack (Verdi, Purcell, Elgar Plus)to it. Music sounded compressed, boxed in and small.
