I would simply get the Denon or Marantz (same company) receiver that fits your budget. You could get the newest SR 600x from Marantz or and Denon with similar specs as the interfaces are identical. For the money, I don't think you can top Denon. Marantz is a bit more expensive and has a slightly warmer sound than Denon so younwill probably prefer Denon. I have 5 pre/pro, receiver or network player from Denon or Marantz and other than the software being a little buggy from time to time for streaming I have been extremely happy. They always fix issues via firmware updates.
You could go higher end but I don't know if your speakers justify it. Pick a good Denon and you can feel good about your buy.
I would suggest the Marantz SR5011, which is essentially an updated version of your current receiver.
Thanks for the replies. I guess not a very hard decision to make then. I suppose I was thinking that since everything was going through the TV and I didn't really need the video processing power of a home theater that there might be a better option which focused more on the sound and less on the video. :)
Thanks!
