The Bose speakers recommend an amplifier between 10 and 150 watts... so you are free to choose pretty much any receiver...however, I can empathize with your statement the speakers are current demanding.. but any dedicated, modern two-channel amplifier/integrated/receiver should be able to handle the loads.

Having said that, do you listen to FM Radio? If not, then either an Integrated Amplifier with phono input or even a raw amplifier with a phono stage open up your world of possibilities greatly, and will sound better than a receiver at this price point most likely.

Here is what I recommend as a great system:

NAD C316BEE Integrate Amplifier: $379

Cambridge Audio 551p Phono Stage $139

I have owned NAD Integrated Amplifiers and they are renowned for their ability to drive difficult speakers and their sheer power. While this is NAD's entry level, it is every bit NAD.

As for the phono stage, I also have owned the Cambridge Audio 551p...after many many days researching other units, I decided to purchase it and it really got me into vinyl.

This is, in my well researched opinion, probably one of the best systems for the money you will find.

Let me know if it meets your needs or if I have missed anything.

Best Regards,

Ron
