The speakers are 4 ohm (they go lower than that) make shure the amp can handle 4 ohm or else the amp would get hot very fast or blow the fuse because the load is to high for the amp when playing loud.

I think that the Sony STRDH130 receiver might be your best bet.

It should handle those speakers OK.

It is only $149.

Dear everyone, could I please ask for your advice about what amplifier could I buy if my budget is sadly restrained to 300 dollars?

My speakers are rated at 200 watts, 4 ohms impendance which I know it means that they demand high current from the amp and the sensitivity is 89 dB. I would use them in a 40 squaremeter room from a 3 meter distance, the room is square shaped.

Thank you in advance for your time and advice! Wish you all a great day!

David

Thank you very much for your advice! I checked out the Sony, and im also looking at a Parasound HCA 800 II used because there is a good deal on it for 170 bucks. Maybe I can refurbish it and it would serve more than good. It seems to have better current capacity.
