All:
Having myself been absent for a few months around here, I sadly can't help but to notice the forums; while thankfully still active, seem to be in continual decline as far as trolling behaviors, shooting off on to tangential and lengthy remarks without helping the original poster with their legitimate question, and even suggesting folks to just ditch Stereophile altogether!
I am writing to compel us to raise our game back to where it was not too long ago:
Bring back referencing of songs.
Bring back detailed system/component details and sharing among members who has what components and why they chose them without judgment.
Reduce the "trolling" activity for lack of a better description.
And most importantly, bring back the community so newcomers and long standing members all feel welcome again and get wise, well intended and carefully thought out replies.
This hobby can get very expensive and very serious and very fun! The more we share, the wiser the choices we make, the greater then money we save, and the more fun we all have!
Most Sincerely,
Ronald R. Stesiak, PhD
