Hello All,
One of my winter projects over the past few years is to digitize by vinyl collection. A few days ago, I worked on Reference Recordings Church Windows (RR-15). I treated this recording with Last when I bought it in the 1980’s. I had not played it in many years. I monitored while I was making the dub, and after only a few seconds, I thought the sound was very muddy and compressed. I do not remember how this recording sounded originally, but since it is an audiophile recording with a great recording engineer (Keith Johnson), I was wondering if the Last treatment might be the problem. Any thoughts?
Cheers,
ceulrich
