KT120 tubes, Rogue and Magnepan

I have replace the KT90 tubes with KT120 tubes in my Rogue Audio Cronos Magnum.  Rogue has just begun to offer new "tops" for the Cronos Magnum ($100) that allow for the wider KT120 tubes.  The difference is not subtle driving my Magnepan 1.6QR.  I have noticed extra 3 dimensionality and texture to the music and a bit better focus.

I'm sure the extra power has something to do with it, but there is more to it than that.  The tubes just really improved everything im my system.

For reference, where I used to play most music between 11-12 o'clock on the dial, I now play 9:3- to 10:30.  I you have a tubed amp and it can handle the extra voltage, I highly recommend giving the KT120s a try.

Mac Mini -> PureMusic (running in NOS mode) ->Rega DAC -> Rogue Audio Cronos Magnum - Magnepan 1.6QR

I'm confident it's an improvement

I called the guys at Rogue to thank them.  Based on the effect on my system and the feedback they are getting, I have no doubt of Erick's findings.
