After reading my comment about meeting John Eargle at the foot of Wes Phillips' obituary (http://www.stereophile.com/news/052107eargle/), veteran audio engineer Stan Curtis sent me this photo taken at my 1982 visit to JBL. John is standing on the right, Stan is seated on the left, and I have my head down, taking notes and partially obscured, in the second-row center. Standing at the back of the room are long-term JBL speaker engineer Greg Timbers (check shirt) and then-drive-unit engineer David Smith (glasses, later to work with KEF, Meridian, McIntosh, Snell, and PSB).
