I was wondering about this but is the Control 1Xtreme and the orginal Control 1 from pro basicaly the same speakers? I do see that they use same size woofers and tweeters but only difference is the tweeters and one is titanium laminate and one is polycarbonate. I did measure the woofers on the Control 1 and the Xtremes and they are exactly the same even the tweeters are the same. I don't know why JBL says they are 4in even they are 5in woofers. When I talked to JBL they said that they made the Xtremes since the orginal Control 1 were soo popular that they had to make the Control 1s again but they named it the Xtremes even they are same speakers but have been improved like titanium instead of polycarbonate dome tweeters. Plus they made them 8 ohms so it will go with most stereos. Also they can go down to 50hz unlike the orginal Control 1.
