Actually, I should have posted this thread at Amplifier topic but did leave this post here on Speaker side as Kef LS50 is better concerned than amp seeking advices.
I am using LS50 for music, wonder which amp suites with LS50 in certain budget (1,700 USD).
+ Room size : 14.75 feet (wide) * 12,1 feet (depth) * 9.8 feet (height). Total approximately 172sqm (small room). Equipped with absorber & diffuser panels, wooden floor, leather sofa, side - bookshelf.
+ Favourite music type : jazz, vocal, country & instruments (not pop, rock, orchestra)
LS50 is not very enough of bass so I also had Rel T7 for this improvement.
As searched, I listed some amp as following :
+ Primare I32 – don’t know why but not any positive/good impressions I had with this expensive stuff.
+ PrimaLuna Prologue Classic KT88 (havent tried tube EL34) – pretty matching with sweet, tempting vocal, bass is not strong point with PrimaLuna
+ Rogua Audio Sphinx – better sound stage, more clarity on high tones, better bass than Prima but not as sweet as Prima with Tube sound.
+ Roksan K3 - had chance to test head – to head between Rogue Sphinx & Roksan K3
Just short time of listening at Hifi shop (30 minutes), I found out that K3 controls better bass, more clarity sound, less noise on sound stage with more relaxed, natural midrange.
While Sphinx tend to voice forward, K3 lean a bit backward (my listening room is small, may be more suite with back sound stage)
Would be highly appreciated if could help me with below wonders :
1/ If have any one that tested (All/some) above – listed products with LS50 & have any (final) conclusion/idea ?
2/ Roksan K2BT is previous ver of K3, almost same power output, less 300.00 – 350.00 USD in my side (K3 is on expensive side).
Do your guy think that K3 with better technology, nicer built,…be more worth with LS50 ?
3/ In my side, also can find Unison Research : Unico Nouvo / Simply Two / Simply Italy & Peachtree SE125, Nad 375BEE, Prima Prolouge Premium,.... but I havent tested yet.
4/ If have any BETTER interpgrated amp with LS50, I may prefer TUBE amp (as said, min 35 wpc such as EL34/KT88../KT90/KT120,…be very well matching with LS50) pls advise me.
