What is your budget? And when you say very sensitive, is this something that can be driven well with 5w? There are tons of great units but Tube units that are elite tend to be a bit pricey.
Regarding digital, how do you intend to stream spotify to the integrated amp? That will dictate whether you need a DAC and/or streamer.
I would like to spend under $600.00. If you check the Coincident website, these large speakers are very sensitive, but the creator, Israel Blume, sells the recommended tube amps and preamps at very high prices. I am such a neophyte, I would need advice on how to stream music to the speakers without bluetooth. Any help you can provide would be helpful. If you are a stereophile, I think you may enjoy the Coincident Speaker website. Thanks much.
Cambridge Audio 6xx series integrateds are wonderful and cheap. And I still use a DAC Magic. And it is. I don't ever see myself ever using another DAC. Same can be said for the Arcam A80 and A85 amps. Get one used for right around your budget. And they are very powerful for your speakers, at around 80 watts, continuous. I used to use my Arcam with also pretty sensitive, but not super efficient (not always the same) Focal Chorus stand-mounts.
The Music Hall A15.3 Integrated amp is very good, and Audio Advisor sells it for $549. That would be my recommendation.
You would need a streaming device that has analog outputs, such as the Ocean Digital Internet Adapter sold for $71.99 by Amazon. This will connect to any amplifier and can receive via WiFi.
These are efficient to a point where a 25w to 50w amp will do a wonderful job. You will not find a tube unit in your price range that is worth buying.
I would second these guys, Music Hall and Cambridge both make great units. An NAD 326 BEE might be a really nice choice. NAD is known for its warmth. If you can find one used, the Rega Brio R would also be an awesome integrated.
If you can find one used, the Marantz M-CR510 would be an unbelievably good choice as it has Spotify built in. I have one in my bedroom. I know you don’t need a CD player but for new gear, the Marant M-CR611 will meet your need and it sounds great.
To stream Spotify without it built in there are a bunch of ways. Do you want wireless from a phone or device or do you mind a wired solution from a PC? That will dictate what solution is best.
For wireless, although a little pricey, the Sonos Connect at $349 is awesome and there is an ap for you phone that you can control Spotify from. For wired, Cambridge DAC magic is awesome.
Jolida makes a little hybrid integrated that has a 12AX7 preamp driving a solid state output. Jolida JD301BRC
It's around $500
I believed the same as you until I purchased the Monoprice 50 watt/channel hybrid amp. I had already planned to send it back on the same day. I still have it because it is clean and warm with a wide sound stage. Sometimes less expensive equipment will surprise you.
