I have now upgraded everything else in my 2.1 setup and the old Yamaha HT receiver is in my cross hairs.
Sources are a Laptop-->DAC and MMF 2.2-->DIY Phono Stage (Oatley Electronics K301)
The C326BEE and MH 15.3 are my price range. I do need the sub/preamp outs otherwise would not need this much power for my small-mid size room.
I currently like the MH better based on looks and ergonomics. The phono stage would be a bonus and who knows maybe I would like it better than my DIY stage? Would be a damn simple setup.
My real question is this: Would the supposed synergy of NAD + PSB be a safer move than pairing the B6s with the Music Hall? After this, I plan to be done upgrading for a few years so I want the better amplifier of the 2.
Wish I could compare and let you know what my sound preferences are. I listen to a large variety of stuff and enjoy good dynamics and detail. I believe my listening room is sensitive to brightness. The yammy is a bit bright to my ears but still enjoyable at moderate volumes.
Or maybe I should just enjoy this setup for now, save up and wait for a killer deal on something even better on AudiogoN or eBay and spend this money now on some new records and HD downloads this weekend??? I love my B6s but would going much higher on an amp be worth it?
Cheers,
Dan
