Could it just be the culmination of budgetary and time constraints? Perhaps it's a lack of anxiety or a desperate desire to attain serenity? Whatever it is, lately, I have been listening TO MUSIC instead of FOR PROBLEMS.
The layout of my listening room sucks. Oh well, not going to remodel or even try moving those absorption panels for the umpteenth time. I should really upgrade those speaker cables (who could be happy with common stranded 12 gauge??? Not even biwired!!!). Not today. At a glance my VTA looks a little off. Whatever, it sounds fine - good, actually! The titanium dome tweeter in my right speaker has a little ding in it caused by a curious little finger - surely I must replace it ASAP (and maybe get an extra or 2). I. Can't. Hear. A. Difference. And is my sub really crossed over at the right frequency? Maybe I should A-B test it at 52hz vs 54hz... No. NO!
My humble system:
Windows 7 laptop-->J River Media Center-->Halide DAC HD
Music Hall MMF 2.2
Music Hall 15.3 integrated
PSB Image B6
Klipsch synergy 12 sub
Listening room from hell with some absorption/reflection panels
I am sure this peace of mind wont last forever, but, here's to hoping.
Cheers and happy listening this winter!
