Mystery solved! All indications are that there is no such person as "DUP." These forums get a little dull sometimes so JA and the editorial team came up with a computer construct designed to keep things lively. The program is simply written to negate any other opinion.

The evidence is overwhelming. Those poorly "photoshopped" pictures of the Sterophile crew supposedly checking out "DUP's" system was the first clue. Sure that really happened. And Derek Jeter dropped by my place to give my kid some pointers on playing shortstop.

So sorry JA but your "DUP" program fails the Turing test. When corresponding with "DUP" I'm not fooled into thinking it's a real human being. Would an actual human go out of his way to insult Diane and Jim Tavegia on their anniversary? Of course not.

And there are numerous other clues. The progam approximates real English but often produces meaningless sentences. (Hint for your "DUP v2.0" release: build in a spellcheck program).

I think I'm really on to something here and this might just be the tip of the iceberg. Coming soon: Ken Kessler: Reality or Linux-based?
