I bought an entry level Rega a few months back and right away had a problem with it. One channel was bad; fortunately for me, the seller was quite good. They shipped a new tonearm promptly, and then put up with me taking several weeks to return the bad one.
I'm very happy with the unit, except it makes a 'swishing' noise when it runs. It's no huge deal when the volume is turned up, but it's not good at low levels.
Is this an inherent feature of belt drives? How much noise should I expect?
Thanks,
