OK, clearly this is not something people have trouble with, because I have scoured the 'net and can't find a single faq, tutorial, or demonstration as to how to connect spade terminals. I didn't trust my ability to connect it to the wire, so I ordered it pre-done. The cable is already very neatly terminated with spade terminals.
However, I can't seem to figure out how to connect them to the amp. The manual says that the amp does accept spade connectors, but when I unscrew the connection on the amp, I can clearly see how a bare wire would work -- just slide it through the whole and screw it back tightly. But the spade connector doesn't fit in the space around this whole, so when I place it in as far as it will go and then tighten the connection as much as I can without damaging anything, I can still slip the spade right out.
What am I missing?
