11 year old killed his daddy's pregnant girlfriend.
The story
I can't imagine an 11 year old making adult level decisions.
I wonder how he managed to buy the gun and ammo.
At least he shopped age appropriately...
"The weapon was a youth model 20-gauge shotgun, designed for use by children, that belonged to the boy, according to investigators."
Could have gone as early as age ten. If he were really strategic like an adult, he would have done it while he was only nine...
"Under Pennsylvania law, anyone over 10 accused of murder or homicide is charged as an adult. If convicted, the boy faces a maximum sentence of life in prison, Bongivengo said."
Pennsylvannia...I guess they really do cling to their guns!
11 years old tried as an adult - seems preposterous. How can he even speak to the crime?
________________
Interesting side note:
He's being charged with two murders.
1) How do they know he intended to "murder" a fetus?
2) How come it's terminating an unwanted pregnancy if the lady wanted it dead, but murder if she didn't? Isn't the law explicitely recognizing a fetus as a person if someone can be charhed with 'murdering' it?
Kind of a paradox - abortion is not murder, but killing a fetus is.
