...will indeed make a tremendous difference. Not sure what's available outside the U.S., so sorry I cannot give you any recommendations. Just be sure it's rated to drive your cans.

I would also suggest you ensure your settings within whatever application and operating system you use are at their highest resolution.

I use a Dragonfly 1.2 plugged into my computer's USB, with Sennheiser headphones plugged into the Dragonfly. With your 300-ohm headphones, you might be better off getting a Dragonfly Red that has higher output.

Of course, there are other DACs out there, but the Dragonfly may be in your price range. It's just under $200 in USA for the Red model and $99 for the Black model (lower output).

Something that small can't amp much though, is it better getting that though, rather than an amp standalone and a dac standalone? Will the red dragonfly do the job of an amp aswell as the dac side? Thanks.

I have both a Dragonfly Red DAC/Amp and an ifi Nano idsd Black DAC/Amp. Either will drive my HD 650's reasonably well. The ifi is better but not quite as portable as the Dragonfly (basically a slightly oversized thumb drive). Both are priced around $200 in the US.

Yes, onboard sound sometimes not good quality better some good sound cards in the market it really well performed well if you have a separate sound cards rather than using those onboard audio.
