My car stereo has a hi-pass filter built in to the amp/tuner (Pioneer). As a result, the bass - with sub-woofer - stays tight over a large dB range. My home subwoofer systems need to be tweaked for each source and sound level to avoid boominess. Is there a similar hi-pass filter I could put in the amp output channels to avoid boominess, without sacrificing quality?
