Ok...so a friend of mine wants to put together a combination system. it will be surround and stereo.
he needs a reciever, 2 mains, and a DAC. He already has the rears, center, and sub.
he will be listening to music and movies.
now when he does his SERIOUS listening it will be all Vinyl...but that aspect can come later.
so...his budget is 5,000.00
I know that isnt a whole lot, but its what I have to work with (he really likes the "zones" aspect of his onkyo reciever(which is broken)..so multizone would be cool)
so yeah... a reciever and two nice sounding floorstanders.
if we could spend say..4500 on those two I could add in the cambridge DACMAGIC to round it out.
he is not opposed to buying used either..
he just wants me to put together a package and hell buy it.
I know nothing about recievers and surround as I generally avoid them so I wanted to ask here.. again, he already has the center, two rears, and the sub. just needs two mains and a reciever.
