Hello all, I am new here and dont have much knowledge. Anyway I have a New Yamaha RX-A870 AVR. I have 2 old infinity bookshelf speakers on the rear channel. I got some used Polk Lsi25's for the front along with a used Parasound HCA-1000A amp. It sounded pretty good even at high levels. I like to listen to my music really loud sometimes and it sounded good to a point and then would distort and I would back it off a bit. I have a large room 25'x30' 11' high ceilings so I know that plays a big part in the sound. I has been working well for the last 8 months until recently. The amp would get hat and shut down when listing at higher levels. Now it gets hot and shuts off at medium levels. I does come back on once it cools down. I need help troublshooting this problem.
One other thing is that the left Polk speakers subwoofer gives a loud pop or crack sound randomly so I leave the switch on the back off.
