Help with nearfield studio monitors

It depends on the type of music (particularly the bass content) and also the precise nature of the acoustic space and layout of your control room (I assume you will be using these in the control room while mixing).
Thanks for the response. Good point regarding the type of music. Let's say pretty significant bass content. Think Porter Robinson, if you're familiar with him. This is a small square home studio space, about 8ft X 8ft. I've treated the walls with Auralex wedges, and hung a heavy curtain in front of a glass window. It's far from a professional job, but I'm happy with how much better the room sounds already.
Essentially I need good near-field studio monitors (preferably powered) so that my mixes translate from my headphones. I was browsing a guide on selecting the best studio monitors, and it has me thinking about grabbing a pair of Yamaha HS5s. They are running $200USD / speaker, and I realize the bass can't be all that good in 5" speakers, but I would have budget left over to grab the matching subwoofer (Yamaha HS8 sub).
Anyhow, that's as far as I've gotten in my research... still gathering opinions :)
