I'm trying to describe a particular sound that is made by the generic low end home theater / stereo setup. You know the kind that they blast in bestbuy - an overly boomingly loud bass, sometimes it has a harsh tremble, and mostly just feels like there's not too much midrange - music that sounds like it's muffled or somehow murky and underwater.

How to better translate and capture that nauseating feeling in proper terminology?
