Hey everybody. I'm new here, and have a question about setting up floor standing speakers.
I have two big floor standing speakers that are from the late 80's, but they still sound great. I want to bring them to my new house, but don't want the giant equipment rack(dont know what else to call it) it has with it. The equipment rack has a 6 disc changer, equalizer, cassette player, and some other stuff. But all that equipment takes up a lot of space. Is there any way i can hook these speakers up to something smaller? I have no idea where to even start, but i assume i would need some kind of amplifier and cd player combination, maybe with a ipod connector also. Any help here would be greatly appreciated, as i don't even know where to start.
Also, the speakers have two 8" subs in each speaker(4 total), two mid levels in each, and one tweeter in each.
