for anyone who's interested, I ordered(from music direct) a 180 gram LP of Neil Young's "Harvest".
It's mastered from the original master tapes and pressed at "Pallas" in germany.
No digital involved. It's pretty pricey, about fifty bucks.
Physically, it's perfect.I didn't hear a single tick or pop. When the stylus dropped into the groove, at first I thought I forgot to turn the amplifier on.
The musical sounds are amazing. Tried to look it up on the DR database, but this particular issue isn't there. Maybe it's too new.
