I used to have a hi-fi system but a few years ago decided to de-clutter my life and get rid of it all. Got good prices and simplified everything.
I am currently using just a little Fatman iTube valve (tube) amp and a small pair of Monitor Audio Bronze BR1s connected to my Panasonic DVD/CD/HD/Digital freeview/Digital radio box. Sounds pretty good for a smallish room...

The speakers are on Atacama Nexus 5 stands and use the (quite good) speaker cable that came provided with the amp. They are efficient enough at 88db - 90db and do a good job with the 13 watts per channel on offer from the valve amp. (I do not thrash the volume levels as this is in a small - 19' x 13' - room and I listen across the width of the room. If I want loud volumes I use a pair of Sennheiser HD-595 phones)
However I want to start using Vinyl again and was thinking of getting a Rega P2 with Bias cartridge. Trouble is that I have no phono stage on the little valve amp so I am thinking of either...
(1) Getting an all Rega TT/Cartridge/Amp setup (P2 + Brio) with my existing speakers.
Or...
(2) Just getting the little Rega Fono-Mini and plugging it into the existing iTube Fatman amp.
If I go for using the existing amp then I can effectively double my budget and get a Rega P3-24 with Elys cartrige because there is no amplifier to purchase so this is very tempting. However I really hate 'clutter' and a P3-24 with DC power supply + Fono-Mini (with another power supply) and two sets of phono leads (instead of one) does not appeal.
I am tempted by the P2 + Brio without all those extra 'wall wart' DC power supplies and without the extra box (Fono Mini) and without the two sets of phono leads. A nice, minimal, simple, one manufacturer set-up with my little Monitor Audio BR1s + stands hanging off it.
What would you do?
Thanks for reading. (I am a new boy here.)
