Just getting myself set up in a new apartment and determined to kick off with a quality music system which is easy to understand and use by a newbee like me. So far I have done some basic research and after several weeks, I think I have found a suitable setup.

Starting off with Audiolab 6000A amplifier and hoping to pair it with Q Acoustic 3050i floor standing speakers and linking both of them with Audioquest Rocket 11 speaker cable.

Mainly looking for subtlety, quality and clarity of sound with tones which are rich and warm. Not unlike a nice deep red wine !! Will be playing my music through i phone or mac book and built in DAC is essential within the amp. I have a broad taste in music covering many genres and prefer quality over volume but I do like to let off the occasional bit of steam now and again. I am not looking for boombox but like to have good distinction between the highs and lows.

Would be most grateful in anyone on the forum could give me some assurance regarding my intended setup or alert me to any pitfalls which very probably, I have overlooked.

Most grateful to anyone who is able to share knowledge and wisdom.

John
