I think that Focal makes excellent speakers; some of the very best at most price points.
PSB, Monitor Audio, KEF, and Vandersteen also make excellent ones, but you won't go wrong buying any Focal speaker.
Thank you for the comments. I was hoping more folks would have been able to comment on specifics of their listening experiences. However, after a couple of days of researching online, I'm pretty set the 726s. For the price, I don't think I could go wrong.
I realize this is a fairly old post but wanted to share my limited exposure to Focal speakers. The Guy I purchased my B&W 801 from upgraded to Focal Grande Utopia. He already had them set up when I picked up my speakers, naturally he wanted to show and I wanted to see. I spent the following 8hrs enjoying the most focused soundstage and vibrant dynamics I have ever heard. It was an experience I will not forget. In fact the last song we played was Nat King Cole's Unforgettable. Unforgettable indeed, thanks Nathaniel. If I ever win the lottery, JMLabs will definitely be receiving part of it.
