Hi,
First, let me say I'm a total noobie. Not only is this my first post, but I'm new to the world of high-end audio.
Anyway, I've recently purchased a pair of Morel Octave 5.2m speakers and connected them to an 8 year old Onkyo dx575x receiver. They're hooked up in a 4m X 2m living room that's missing a wall (it opens to the rest of the house), and the three walls that it does have are currently naked.
Sadly, I find that I get fatigued listening to this setup very quickly. At a low volume, I can go maybe 45 minutes. If I crank it up then it starts becoming uncomfortable very quickly.
I'm assuming that there are imperfections/distortions that are causing this rapid fatigue - but my ears are not developed enough to pick up on them.
I'd be happy for some advice on how to go about troubleshooting this problem.
