I've got a decent two-channel set-up separate from my 5.1 HT rig for the first time in a long while and I am just enjoying the heck out of it! And it's not that music sounded bad on my A/V system, but the combination of a better room and better quality speakers and amp is just blowing me away over and over again. The system is as follows:
Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab OML-2 loudspeakers
Adcom GFA-5500 amp
Adcom GTP-602 tuner/pre-amp
Onkyo DX-7555 CD player
...pretty low-end, I realize. At least by Stereophile standards. But I am thrilled! Rock, Country, Jazz, Classical -it's all sounding wonderful. It's like rediscovering stereo!
