That's great, a friend of mine has the earlier small and super inexpensive speakers from the same dude and loves them. If your new speakers don't sound really super those reviewers have some 'splainin' to do. Not that there's anything wrong with purple prose. ;-)

I'm sitting in my house right now waiting for the Fed-ex truck to deliver my new speakers. Wait.....,I just heard something, is that them? No, just the neighbor in his driveway.
Isn't this great? now this is what audiophilia is about. waiting for your new gear to get here.
I'm going to have to let them sit for a few hours and warm up-it's zero out in northern Illinois. If I try to listen to them right away, they'll probably shatter like glass.
Maybe I should leave them in the box overnight?

I've been listening to them for a few days now. A few first impressions;

These speakers really come alive when played loud. They like power.
They are as good as the reviewers say. They sound better than my floorstanders(which cost three times as much)
They have excellent bass, they sound like a larger speaker-but with a better point source.
The highs are dispersed much more widely than I've heard from other speakers. Not sure how they do this.
They're on 26" stands, about a foot from the rear wall
I've only listened to vinyl with them so far (the CD system is connected to the floorstanders)
I hear subtleties that I've never heard before, like, Norah Jones voice(on "come away with me") has a nasally quality.
("nasally" may not be an actual word)
Acoustic music in a live venue like "Eric Clapton Unplugged" sounds incredible-the best I've ever heard, like you're actually in the room.
They're going to sell a lot of these speakers. The best three hundred I ever spent.

The Clapton Unplugged CD would sound good on tins cans and a string. The pickup on Clapton's Armani shoe heel striking the floor is incredible. In fact most of the Unplugged series of CDs have terrific sound.

Ive been listening to a pair of ELAC Debut B6 bookshelf speakers for about six weeks, and I have to say these speakers are amazing(to me). They are on 24" pedestal stands being fed by a Project Debut carbon DC tt, and a Marantz reference Integrated amp.
They fill a medium-sized room with sound that defies their size and price. The bass is tight and transparent down to about 40hz, and the midrange is at least as good as my floorstanders that cost over three times as much.
The highs have to be heard to be believed. The piano on Norah Jones "Come Away with me" sounds unbelievable.
In my opinion, these speakers are designed for two-channel listening from a turntable.
The Bass is completely satisfying, without a sub.
The imaging,also, is tremendous.
Proof you don't have to spend four-figures to get true audiophile sound quality.
