Lately I have been pulling my ears away from my head to increase midrange and treble acuity. Perhaps I am suffering from "ear sag" due to the natural process of aging. I have only recently noticed the improvement gained from doing this during home stereo listening sessions.
Does anybody know a plastic surgeon in my area that can permanently upgrade my head for better sonic performance? Or does anybody make a semi-permanent speculum for spreading open tight ear holes?
I have already sent off a query to JA as it has been previously noted in the magazine that he sufferes from somewhat the same condition and I was hoping he has the answer.
Would the rest of you please chime in with your own suggestions? I am of course looking for maximum "bang for the buck" although my passion for improving the listening experience may cause me to forget the budget and upgrade my ear holes beyond recognition.
Remember the old "ear-horn" your great grandpappy used as an ear aid? I wonder how difficult it would be to fashion A PAIR and strap them on my head like oversized headphones?
Wearing these in the New York subway while heading over to Carnegie Hall would probably pass without comment considering what I have seen other people wearing on the subway lately.
And so what are YOUR thoughts on the subject?
