Hey guys. I'm looking for a reasonable integrated amp and DAC that is physically small-ish to power a pair of Bowers & Wilkins 685s. It will be used in a ~20x20 room and rarely at a high volume so total power is not a concern, but I would like dedicated bass and treble dials in addition to a volume knob, with a headphone jack on the front. It will be plugged into my personal computer, so digital inputs are required, preferably USB. I'd also like it to look respectable since it will be prominently placed on my desk. :) Something like the Onkyo A-9555 appeals to me, but I feel like that might be an older model and I'm curious if anything else had come down the line. Likewise for the Sony ta-F501es, although that model looks excellent to me as well I'm also seeing it's been on the market for a very long time and possibly even discontinued. If somebody was able to (ideally) point me towards a newer version of either of those two models, or something similar, I would really appreciate it!
I'd like to get the best value for my money while keeping it at or under $400, but I'm open to suggestions on either side of that amount. Thanks!
