Hello everyone

Just bought these 2 items. As you 'Stereophiles' will know, the Denon amp is old and the turntable is brand new.

The turntblw works fine with a Newish Pioneer amp I have but is really quiet with the old Denon.
The turntable has a built in pre amp.
N.B. the sound through the Denon when palying cds and the tuner is spot on.
I have plugged it in to phono on the amp and used the earth wire.

Any ideas anybody.

I have actually already bid on Ebay on a Pro Ject phone pre amp but I am now doubting that is the problem.
