Most of the discussion these days takes place in the comments section that are appended to each of the articles, blogs, and reviews.

thanks, I'll check it out
Hi Guys
Different worlds!
Comment sections, blogs and reviews are different from forums in many ways. Forums are the proof and truth of the OP being able to make a point and implement that point to the open public or specific audience. Exploring why this forum is "dead" should be looked at through the eyes of hobbyist forums and their ability to hold interest and not compared to communication by other means. There are specifics to any forums popularity, depth and purpose.
This forum keeps asking the same question about every other month. That's a pretty good indicator that's something is needed or maybe repeated.

Agreed- MG.
this is one of the slower to report/respond forums out there.
Thought I'd dip my pinky into the Stereopool again after a spring break. I'll agree with the lack of forum activity compared with other enthusiast forums. Even with the comments following articles, I'm fairly shocked with the lack of interchange, here, given the frequent & rapid submissions in other audio & technical forums.
Given the types of responses and contributions some posters submit, the "lack of interchange" may not necessarily be a bad thing.
I personally prefer rich, sparse content than a lot of the less-composed, rapid submissions that are (heavily) peppered throughout these forums. Not saying that ALL submissions are of no use, but I find it deterring to weed through a host of manifestos, hostility, and off-topic verbosity contained within some of the responses.
Not sure why this site has a different culture than other audiophile-related sites.
