DACMAGIC VS V-DAC

I am trying to decide whether to purchase a V-DAC or DACMAGIC and would appreciate any comparisons.

I am not extremely technically savvy. And, I do not much care about the small difference in price or in physical appearance or features. What I am interested in is the sound quality for the music I listen to which is mainly classical and jazz. My source is typically apple lossless formats via either Squeezebox or Airport Express. THank you for your help.

Compare

Both of these devices are available from online retailers that offer 30 day money back returns.  I recommend you get both in house at the same time and have some fun comparing the two.  I think you will find differences in both but which is better will be up to you.  Have fun!

In addition, I believe that

In addition, I believe that Sam Telig has review both DACs fairly recently.

DM v. VDAC

Tried the DacMagic earlier this year, great connectivity, a good range of inputs, soundwise I found it sterile.  Opted for the less well connected Firestone Audio Spitfire II which is also worth considering if you have few input requirements.  Otherwise, I'd recommend trying out both the V-DAC, but also Emotiva's XDA-1 both of which have enjoyed very positive feedback from users.
