I'm looking at this Numark TTUSB (http://www.numark.com/ttusb) for several reasons. Will this player give me decent sound quality without tearing up my records?
What attracts me specifically to this product is the built in preamp. I have a set of powered Audioengine A2's right now, so in my eyes, this would make listening to vinyl affordable and simple, since I can hook the player directly up to the speakers. I don't really have money for a receiver as of now.

What puzzles me is that I see vinyl making a large comeback, but many of the players advertise heavily towards digitizing your library, and not the quality of the sound, itself. I've told myself that vinyl is inconvenient and expensive ( I'm a graduate student on a stretched budget), but every time I go into a cd shop, I have waaaay too much fun browsing through that vinyl. That has to be worth something.
