Hi,

On www.qobuz.com, one has to choice of buying audio files in Studio Master (24 bits-96 mHz FLAC), true CD (i.e. 16-bit lossless) or MP3.

My CD player can't read FLAC files, but I can convert these files to CD compatible 16-bit format files. Would the resulting 16-bit files be of a better audio quality than the true CD format or would it simply be the same?

I'm asking this because I bought some CDs where the cover says that the recording was made usinf a 24-bit/96-mHz master. So I suppose that the sound I get from that CD is better than if it had been made with a standard master, right?
