Has anybody out there figured out what T bone burnett is up to and is the new audio file type/encoding for real that he is using for the new John Melloncamp album? I ask as it is prominently mentioned in latest Rolling Stone magazine and I have never heard about this before and the timing seems strange just as we are getting high def downloads coming on line and new audio options maybe with Blu-ray. Article says it works with any dvd player and if you have a dvd based computer you can copy to itunes as a high def file and the album includes a regular cd for those who cant use the dvd based CODE file. I'm intigued other than I do not have a dvd player hooked up to my main hi-fi.
