Cleanin'

Hey guys, 
So I am beginning what is basically a chadwick mod to my Thorens TD160. The first thing I need to do is, obviously, clean it. Any ideas for the platter, sub-platter, motor, etc? Rubbing alcohol and a microfiber cloth? Maybe some sandpaper?

Not alcohol

Probably oil based cleaners for anything internal or motor related. Up top, I'd say Windex is OK. Alcohol can get sticky and weird with metals and many plastics.
